I have been reading your page with great interest. I live in a high rise of 14 floors {Oliphant Court) in Paisley Renfrewshire Scotland.
We too have had lots of trouble with Jobs needing done and those that have been done have been far from satisfactory.
The reason I'm leaving this comment is to let you know we too have windows that aren't safe. Some tenants cannot turn them to clean them, because the window has to be pushed so far out for the top to come down low enough to reach it for turning so one has got to have a fair reach and height. Previously our tilt and turn windows were hinged in the centre, therefore as they were being pushed out, the top came in No-one had any trouble with those, Our landlord, Paisley South Housing Association are intent on fitting a handle to the centre top part of the window and supply a pole with a hook. This has supposedly to be the answer but they want to carry on and fit their 'solution' without the tenants having the chance to try it out and see if it would work. Would love to know what type of windows you have and if they are as dangerous as ours.
Hope you can be bothered to read this and it does make some sense to you.
Cheers from Bonnie Scotland
